HOW TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH WATER YOU NEED IN NORMAL DAILY LIFE
A cow requires 15 gallons per day.
A horse requires 10 gallons per day.
A hog requires 2 gallons per day.
A sheep requires 1-1/2 gallons per day.
25 chickens require 1 gallon per day.
Flush toilets - anywhere from 1-1/2 gallons for new designs up to 6 gallons for older designs.
An average shower or filling a bathtub can use 30 gallons.
An average 1/2" garden hose uses about 200 gallons per hour.
An average 3/4" garden hose uses 275 to 300 gallons per hour.
Lawn sprinkles can use 120 gallons per hour each.
Additional water should be allowed for general sanitation and cleanup as required.
