The PLA (Chinese Army) built this bridge, after the original bridge was destroyed. There was much trouble supporting the bridge on the opposite side as it is a fresh and very loose slide. Workers had to work with the risk of being hit by falling rock. Everyone was on their guard constantly as work continued day and night. A resident engineer keeps a close eye on the bridge, watching for any sign of slipping.
