This windmill lifts water 170M - 550ft. to a water tank for a village water supply. The tower is anchored to solid rock with heavy rock bolts. WHAT SIZE WINDMILL AND PUMP DO I NEED?

 

You will need to know the following information to determine the proper windmill and pump for your application. 

 

If you plan to pump water from a well with the windmill located directly over your well:

 

1. Diameter of well.

2.The distance to water from ground level.

3. Distance to the bottom of well from ground level.

4. Elevation above ground level you will lift water.

5. Distance from the well you intend to pump water.

6. Amount of water you need on an average daily basis.

7. Average wind conditions at the site as defined below.

  

A. Average number of hours daily that winds blow strongly at your site.

B. Average number of hours daily that you have fair winds at your site.

C. Average number of hours daily that you have low speed winds at your site.

D. Average number of hours daily that the wind is calm at your site.
