It's actually quite easy, but you will have to collect some information first to make the best possable choice. With good planing, you can save money and prevent disapontments later. If you don't know the correct answer, estimate the best you are able.

YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1. HOW MUCH WATER IS NEEDED?

2. Source of water - well, river or stream, pond or lake, tank, etc.

IF THE SOURCE IS A WELL:

A. Vertical Distance (elevation) from the top of water in the well to ground level.

B. Depth to the bottom of the well from ground level.

C. Inside diameter of the well.

IF THE SOURCE IS A RIVER, STREAM, POND OR LAKE, TANK, ETC:

D. Elevation from the top of water at the location you will be pumping from to the base of the windmill tower. This elevation can never be more than 7M and should be as low as possable for best results.

3. Distance from the base of the windmill tower to the location you will be pumping water to.

4. Elevation above ground level from the base of the windmill tower you will lift water.

5. Distance from the well you intend to pump water.

6. The normal wind conditions at the site as defined below.
